Seoul, Korea – June 13, 2016 – LG Water Solutions, part of LG Chem and manufacturer of the full line of high-efficiency NanoH₂O ™ reverse osmosis (RO) membranes, is proud to announce that it has been chosen by Sohar SWRO Company LLC to supply its high rejection NanoH₂O seawater RO membranes to the Sohar desalination plant in Oman.
The Sohar desalination plant will produce 250 million liters of water per day and serve approximately 800,000 local Oman residents. The plant was designed by Valoriza Agua, one of the leading water technology companies in Spain which boasts a portfolio of more than 100 water treatment plants throughout Spain, Portugal, Algeria, Tunisia, Middle East, Brazil, Australia and Chile.

Since LG Chem’s acquisition of Los Angeles-based NanoH₂O in May 2014, the company’s product portfolio has rapidly expanded to include high rejection brackish water RO (BWRO) membranes, anti-fouling BWRO and residential RO membranes. LG Water Solutions is a business unit of LG Chem and boasts approximately twenty sales offices worldwide and almost one thousand installations across the globe.
