LG Water Solutions Business Leader – SH Kim (Sunghyun Kim)

We are pleased to announce that SH Kim (Sunghyun Kim) has been appointed the Business Leader of LG Water Solutions as of 28 May 2018. Mr. Kim’s appointment is a clear reflection of the company’s current state: ready to take on the future with accelerated commitment after another strong year of growth and successful expansion. Mr. Kim brings decades of experience to LG Chem and has a proven record of taking customer-centric technology to the next level. Mr. Kim will continue the journey to deliver even more solutions from our industry-leading company. Mr. Kim holds both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Seoul University in Fiber and Polymer Engineering.


March into the Brackish Water RO Market after Establishing Leadership in Seawater Desalination

LG Chem proudly announces it has recently been awarded two highly prestigious BWRO membrane replacement projects in California. After more than 18 months of trials, LG Chem was awarded the contract to supply its energy-saving BW ES membranes to the Ground Water Replenishment System in Orange County Water District. GWRS is the world’s largest indirect potable reuse facility with a total capacity of 100 MGD (378.5 MLD). LG Chem also won a replacement bid for the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility in West Basin Municipal Water District following a successful on-site trial last year. LG Chem will supply anti-fouling BW AFR membranes to the facility with a total capacity of 40 MGD (151.4 MLD).


Award for 150 MLD El Alamein Project in Egypt

LG Water Solutions, a division of LG Chem, Ltd. and the manufacturer of the full line of NanoH2OTM RO membranes, has announced that they were awarded the contract to supply membranes to the 150 million liter per day (40 MGD) seawater desalination project in El Alamein, Egypt. The project EPC company, Aqualia Intech S.A., selected LG based on the superior performance of NanoH2OTM line of seawater RO membranes. The plant is scheduled to be operational in late 2018.


Award for “Distinction” in the Water Technology Company of the Year

LG Water Solutions was honored with ‘Distinction’ in the “Water Technology Company of the Year” at GWI’s 2018 Global Water Awards. We are proud to have been recognized as a leading contender in the seawater RO membrane after entering into the RO business only seven years ago.

LG Water Solutions is proud to introduce QSee 2.0; our updated proprietary RO Normalization Software. QSee 2.0 enables to easily upload, manage, and assess complex operational data, create custom graphs, and track manual data inputs with a few clicks of the mouse.
